He’s already helped thousands of other amateur golfers around the world
— now he wants to help YOU!
(And he’s throwing in an extra special gift, to get you started right.)
Let This Golf Digest “Texas Top 20” Instructor Show YOU How to Hit Longer, Straighter, and More Consistently, With The Body-Friendly Golf Swing Designed for Amateurs
How would you like to join the THOUSANDS of other amateur golfers around the world who are now hitting longer drives, handling bunkers with ease, dropping chips on the greens with greater accuracy … and hitting fewer topped shots, fat shots, and slices than they ever thought possible?

“At the youthful age of 71, and after watching your videos, I have gone from driving 110 yards to now reaching 160-170 yards, and yep they are straight. Unbelievable. Thank you, you are a genius! It is one thing to know what to do, and it is something different to be able to teach it.”

Meet CJ Goecks, developer of the Perfect Connection Golf Swing…

Nathan Green
As Director of Instruction at TPC Craig Ranch in Dallas, Texas, CJ has worked with golfers of all levels – from PGA and LPGA players like Nathan Green, Jaxon Brigman, Brittany Lang, Paul Stankowski, Taylor Leon, and Brenden Pappas…

…to serious amateurs ranging in age from their teens to 80+ years young.

Why do so many people come to CJ for help … and why do his students absolutely rave about him and his methods?

It’s because he gets the results they’re looking for!

And what he’s done for THEIR swings, he can now do for YOU.

…because in an effort to reach out and help even more of those amateur golfers who could benefit most from his teachings, CJ introduces you to…

Even Arnold Palmer’s former caddie, Professional Caddie Association Hall of Fame inductee, and long-time professional golf instructor, Scott Houston is excited about the PerfectConnection Golf Swing:

“I’m simply amazed at the results. Because of a bad back, I watched your training videos, and today I hit a bucket for the first time in three months. Every driver hit was either a draw or went straight, but what impressed me the most was the simplicity of turning and releasing the club (with the body – no arms and hands). I stayed connected thru-out, and your athletic set-up made ‘timing’ easier. So, I’m on board as an avid endorser and I’m glad I found you. Best wishes, and keep up the good work.”

~ Scott Houston

Now let’s hear what CJ himself has to say about this popular training program that’s already been snapped up by more than 10,000 golfers worldwide:

Hi, I’m CJ Goecks…

And I’d like to tell you a little of the story behind this new swing, so you can clearly see what sets it apart from the rest…

…and why most of my students go so quickly from struggling, frustrated, often ready to hang up their clubs … to becoming confident, consistent, excited ball-strikers.

“Results so far have been impressive! I was ready to hang it up but your program is so simple and easy to use, I am once again excited about playing. Thanks CJ.”

~ D. Miller

You see, I’m a certified Golf Biomechanist, trained by kinesiologist Paul Chek of the internationally famous CHEK Institute, and specializing in golf-specific conditioning and injury prevention.

So I understand every angle of what’s happening to your body, all through the swing … as well as the body’s strengths and weaknesses, and how it’s really MEANT to move – naturally!

I’ve spent time working with David Leadbetter, coaching at his Junior Academy in Bradenton, Florida … as well as being Master Instructor for Jim McLean.

I worked with some of the best
and studied while I taught…

I spent time working with David Leadbetter, coaching at his Junior Academy in Bradenton, Florida … as well as being Master Instructor for Jim McLean.

My experience even runs internationally, having served as Instructor with the Northern Golf Federation in Mexico, and as a coach for the Uruguayan Golf Federation. This of course is all in addition to my professional and top amateur clients here in the USA.

CERT

And in my efforts to always be learning more about the golf swing, and how to make it better, I’ve consulted with PGA Tour doctor Troy van Heusen, and physical therapist Damon Goddard … as well as having studied a ton of amateur and pro golf swings, analyzing them from every angle using 3D motion capture technology by Motion Golf.

Yes, I’ve spent many years consulting, developing, analyzing … experimenting with numerous swing variations, looking for ranges of motion that felt more natural, and didn’t produce any of the irritation and discomfort in my clients.

Here’s where YOU come in…

Then, in 2009, this all came together in a way that might interest YOU, when my business partner approached me about the many comments he was hearing from other golfers on the blog at Performax Golf, and the special challenges they faced. So many of them were experiencing flexibility problems, inconsistencies in their performance, lack of distance, hooks and slices…

And of course that recurring problem of injuries, aches, and pains in their hips, back, neck, shoulders, and elbows.

It was obvious to me those injuries were the result of trying to use the typical “conventional” golf swing used by the pro’s – the ones who can afford to spend half their day training in the gym, and on the range.

What these weekend amateur golfers really needed though was a swing that would allow them to hit powerfully, consistently, and accurately … while still being body-friendly. (Let’s face it: most of us are not always in the greatest shape, and we have very little in common with the typical touring professional.)

It took only a few simple adjustments…

The swing I was already teaching my flexible young buck touring pros and top amateurs – including Nathan Green, who went on to capture the RBC Canadian Open – really wasn’t that far off what we needed for all these other golfers.

So I made some simple changes, and came up with a swing specifically tailored to the average weekend amateur golfer. Here’s what I did:

  • First, I shortened the swing to 3/4 width because it’s just as powerful, yet easier on the body, and easier to repeat.
  • Next came connecting the arms to the body, allowing the amateur to square the clubface using more of the body and larger muscles, resulting in greater distance and accuracy.
  • And finally, I made sure the shoulders, hips, and knees were perfectly aligned in what I call the Triple Stack posture to reduce the injuries and strain I see so many golfers struggling with.

It’s all about “Connection”

Here’s a quick question for you: What was the most significant change Tiger Woods made to his swing, back in ’98?

Answer: By his own admission, it was the elimination of “timing”, and the synchronization of his upper and lower body – what he calls “staying connected”.

The Perfect Connection Golf Swing connects the larger muscles to the smaller ones. The goal of this natural connection of arms, shoulders, torso, hips, and legs is keeping everything working in unison throughout, and fully synchronizing your upper and lower body into one smooth motion that is body-friendly, and easy to repeat again and again.

Yet it does so in a way that’s surprisingly quick and easy to get the hang of.

In fact, you may begin feeling the difference the very first time you use it. The Perfect Connection Golf Swing is packed with power, control, consistency, and “body-friendliness” … all in one easy-to-understand method!

“I bought your system last week and quickly added at least 10 yards, with more accuracy. Thanks!”

~ Jaihong Kwon

“Your Perfect Connection golf swing videos have changed my game from a novice to close to LPGA material. I am not kidding! A professional said to me that he has never seen so much ‘raw’ talent and I told him about Perfect Connection and he said, ‘Well, whatever you’re doing keep doing it because you are definitely going to be a par or under golfer in another year.’ Thank you, CJ”

~ Rev. Dr. Sharon Barley

“I’ve only been through the first 2 lessons, and I’m already starting to feel and see the difference!”

~ Marc Yanow

And if you’re part of that vast majority of golfers who suffer from intermittent to chronic golf- related pain in your back, neck, elbows, wrists, knees, hips, or hands…

Don’t go blaming it all on “age” or being “out of shape”. And don’t go buying into that commonly-held myth that a certain amount of pain is simply “part of the game” either.

More then likely it’s you poor body motions– which often actually causes tears and irritation in muscles, joints, and connective tissues! The good news is…

The PerfectConnection Golf Swing can dramatically reduce golf-related pain.

“I have spent many happy hours with your swing and presto – THE PAIN IS GONE.”

~ Darryl Thorne

“I injured my lower back 15 yrs ago and had thought my golf days were over. Since I bought your Perfect Connection golf lessons I am back to playing again. I have never hit the ball straighter than I am now. I hit 16 fairways, last 18 I played!”

~ Jerry McKee

“I started using this product last week, and played my first round with it Friday. I got up the next day and did not need to take any Tylenol or Advil. (That was a first, because I have a ruptured disc in my lower back) And I played really well, too. Thanks.”

~ Joe Rioux

Still, perhaps the greatest thing about this swing is the simplicity of it, and how quickly and easily a person can get the hang of it.

Don’t get me wrong…

This isn’t some magic wand you wave over your driver for instant 300-yard launches. It’s gonna take some effort and dedication on your part, to be sure. But if you practice my methods, you WILL improve. I guarantee it!

As golf great Lee Trevino says…

“You swing your best when you have the fewest things to think about”

See, too many golfers try “FORCING” themselves into one “standardized” swing style – a one-size-fits-all golf swing.

The reason they don’t improve is because they’re not using their own natural swing. And that leaves far too many things to try remembering … when you should be simply swinging as Nature intended.

THIS… is not a complicated system – in fact, it’s about as simple as it gets. Hey, I want you spending your time PLAYING, not getting frustrated with some impossible-to-learn swing.

So what the Perfect Connection Golf Swing allows you to do is get better RESULTS. Period.

“Just want to say thanks. Bought the digital version on Wednesday, practiced Thursday, and on Friday went out and smashed my previous best score by 8 shots on my local nine hole course. Awesome!”

~ Martin Rigby

“Hey, your golf swing added 20 yards to my driver! It is amazing that just by making these few adjustments you can hit the ball more constantly and longer. Thanks, CJ – your program is amazing.”

~ Eduardo Davis

“I have now had your DVD’s for a few months. My whole game has improved, especially my chipping! I’m 74 years old, so it’s never too late!”

~ Mike Harris - Black Forest, Germany

CJ Geocks

The entire Perfect Connection Golf Swing program consists of 26 super-short, easy-to-follow lessons … including the various drills I give you.

Look, I’m not into all this “conspiracy” garbage, like “Revealed at last – the one secret NO ONE wants you to know about your wrists.” I’m pretty sure more people would TELL you these things … if only they KNEW!

And I’m not going to “blow smoke” with threats of “I may pull these videos at any time…”

Heck, I want EVERYONE playing better golf for a lifetime – that’s why I’ve spent so many years of my life dedicated to helping other golfers! But…

I DO however want to encourage you to make the shift to a better game as soon as possible. So I have a special gift for anyone who does. (And I’ll tell you about it in just a moment … along with an absolutely crazy opportunity to get my new “How To Chip Your Way To Lower Scores” and “Improving Your Touch On Soft, Delicate Shots” mini-clinic training programs at “better-than-free” savings!)

Let’s cut through the usual hype
and just be totally honest here…

Look, my goal is to help golfers of all skill levels – even those who couldn’t break 100 if their lives depended on it – add yards to their drives, shave strokes off your score, and ensure you now have a repeatable body-friendly swing you can use for life!

But the truth is, I can’t honestly or accurately predict the exact results you can expect … because I don’t know how you’re golfing right now. In other words, without knowing where you ARE, I can’t say where you’ll GET, or when you’ll get there.

If your game is already powerful … with the kind of accuracy, distance, and consistency that would make most golfers drool with envy … then your gains are likely to be smaller and more slowly coming.

But, since most amateur games of golf (as much as 90% in fact) are utterly riddled with such inconsistencies and errors as poor grips, chicken-winging, and reverse tilting … bad habits that can cause those frustrating topped balls, slices, fat shots, inaccuracy, and inconsistency…

And because these are among the very things the PerfectConnection Golf Swing addresses…

The average golfer can realistically expect rapid and noticeable improvements in these areas. (Again, as I said before … with some effort and dedication on your part.)

“I must say your PCGS is a very good system. I can now go to the range and hit balls for an hour or two without any pains afterwards. The video on reverse tilt really helped me to alleviate my back pain. Thanks!”

~ Doug

“Ha ha… CJ, you are just amazing! I am at the range right now, hitting my 7 iron. My first 12 balls went 150 yards, nice and easy up in the air. I remain much impressed with your coaching. Thanks a lot!”

~ Roberto Giannini

“Played second time using the basics from the PerfectConnection Golf Swing. Shot a 47 and a 44, which for me is great. My slice with the driver is almost gone! I am very pleased.”

~ Gary

“C.J, this Signature Series is the best gift I’ve ever bought myself! In only 7 games my handicap was cut by 4 strokes. You have given me a new enthusiasm for the game, thanks!”

~ Bernard Saffy - South Africa

“Hi, stumbled upon your website about a week ago. I watched your bunker shot advice, and used it the very next day. I played right out of the three bunkers I found that afternoon perfectly with no practice! Very easy advice to follow. Thank You!”

~ Joe Yeager

Golfing is now fun rather than frustrating and disappointing

“Thank you, thank you, THANK you! Early this year breaking 90 was a big goal. After hooking up with you and your lessons, tips and weekly help the last 10 rounds have been in the 70s. Golfing is now fun rather than frustrating and disappointing. Don’t know how to thank you enough for all you’re doing for us hackers. Keep up the great work!”

~ Glen Durall

“CJ, thanks to you my game has improved this year from a 105 to 80-90 and I can truly say I am looking forward to breaking 80. I forgot to mention that I am 71 years old!”

~ Fred Minor - New Jersey

“I’m a Doctor of Sports Science and a 5 handicapper. I’m really impressed with the clarity of your presentation, and your common sense approach to demystifying/debunking some of the great golfing myths/frustrations. Many thanks for creating a very practical and comprehensive program for better golf.”

~ Niall Lynch - Ireland

“Many thanks for your great Perfect Connection Golf Swing program. I’m 71 years old and have always had a problem with consistency but your program has helped me tremendously. I’m enjoying the game again and playing pain free. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

~ Bob Lucas

“The way I was swinging my club for so many years was really hurting my back. In fact, it got so bad my golf partners had to help me get my ball out of the hole each time. Seriously! I could only play one round, then I’d have to take a week off golf because of the pain. Now, this year, I have ZERO PAIN. And I’ve finally broken 80 for the first time ever, and lowered my handicap, thanks to CJ.”

~ Harty Tadlcok

I am driving it as far as I did in my 30′s & 40′s

“I was actually thinking about quitting as I seemed to be going backwards in my game the last 2 years. I am 61 years old and thought my game was only going to continue getting worse. I am so glad that I decided to give it one last try by purchasing your package this summer – and what a difference it has made to my game and my all around enjoyment playing again.

I am driving it as far as I did in my 30′s & 40′s, my iron game is better than it ever has been, and even my putting is better! Your Instructional Program is laid out very well and makes practice enjoyable. I am able to pick small areas of the game to work on at my own pace, which works better for me than crowding the whole game into a few local lessons. I enjoy your weekly mini clinics with tips on different aspects of the game and find them great refreshers and reminders. Thank you for renewing my interest and enthusiasm for this great game.”

  1. Greg Bankston says:

You promote Bobby Wilson swing but it is totally different especially the L vs the U, what’s up with that just selling stuff or what?

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Greg Bankston,
Thanks Greg for the question. I like Bobby’s stuff and you need to remember that some will be able to take things away from what Bobby teaches and incorporate this into the PCGS and hit the ball better. Remember also that the L in the backswing does not happen quite as quickly with the driver due to the length of the club. My name is connected to everything we promote so I take this very seriously and will not promote something I do not believe in. Thanks for the skepticism as that is important and you need to protect who you listen to and what you work on, but remember I also need to protect my name and what I recommend to others.

I’m handicap 9. I’ve reached the age where wear and tear are taking there toll so I’m considering investing in your course. I’m also naturally sceptical, so how many refunds have you given?

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Dave L,
Thanks Dave for the question. I personally do not know how many refunds we have given, although I know you will be very happy or you will get a refund. I personally guarantee it, but give me the opportunity to help you and I know you won’t be disappointed. If you have any questions I am here to help.

  4. Mark says:

    Hi CJ,

I recently purchased your Perfect Connection Golf Swing and I am pretty happy with the results. I have not been out on the course yet with it, but I have been practicing better in my backyard than ever before!

One question though, When I try to take my club away on the backswing, I feel like I don’t have a steady tempo. It’s almost like I’m swinging super slow on the backswing, and at an okay speed on the impact portion and followthrough.

Any drills to help with this?

    Thanks CJ! -Mark

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Mark,
Thanks for the question Mark. I think what your describing is a bit of being over technical. this is common at this stage, but keep practicing and the movement will become more fluid. Please let me know if this improves and we can work on it then. Talk to you soon.
      Keep em Long and Straight,
      CJ

  5. Ken says:

    Hi CJ
i NOTICED ON THE L TO L drill i get an arch in my back and i can feel pressure in my lower back, what am i doing wrong, also should i hold the hinge and let centrifical force allow my wrists to unhinge.

    Your the man

    Ken

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Ken,
Thanks for the question Ken. Ultimately you are not letting your arms swing. The reason your getting the arch is because your body is trying to hit the ball versus just letting your arms swing with this drill. Also you should let centrifugal force allow your wrists to unhinge, but I think yours are unhinging too quick because your body is working overtime. also check that the grip is in your fingers and let me know if this helps.
      Keep em Long and Straight,
      CJ

  6. Hi CJ,

This is ridiculous; i bought the series digitally yesterday after watching some on youtube.
My game has not moved for years, and no coach has been able to help me, not even the finest and best.
Before I discovered perfectconnectiongolfswing, I stood on the range and had to leave because the old buddy shank reared its ugly head.
In desperation I looked for help on the net, and stumbled upon CJ.
I watched a couple of videos, and decided to buy. (, and i usually never do!)
I had a game the day after the shank session, and had very low expectations.
I did not hit any balls for warm up; no shank there. I had some mental pictures and some of CJ`s advice. But DID NOT take them to the range, and I SAW ONLY like seven videos.
I played my best round in years; eight pars, and 36 stableford.
I don`t no if CJ should be credited, or something messed with my head, but i can tell you i really look forward to get into the series and do the drills.
    This is pure joy !
    Tx. CJ

  7. Paul Judd says:

I am a 58 year old male who has played golf for 50 years. Two years ago I had two heart attacks and by-pass surgery. I have been trying to hit some golf balls again but I seem to have balance issues now. I also find hitting balls a physical challenge. I have been watching the ten mini-lessons. Is your swing going to help me enjoy golf again ? If I purchase the video lessons and need some personal help, is there anyone in the Toronto area that teaches your method.
    thanks
    Paul

    • CJ Goecks says:

      paul Judd,
Thanks for the question Paul. I know my swing will help you. please give me the opportunity to help. For personal advice I can help you on the blog and you can upload your swing to me via video. This will really help you and please keep an eye out for potential golf schools. I am doing a new york golf school at the beginning of September. I hope to hear from you soon.

But i have watched only a few of your online videos and i played 10 shots less than i usually do! thats amazing! Im hitting straighter and longer with all my clubs! Thanks, cant wait to go through all the videos and improve my game even more!!
    Keep up the good work!

  9. Dave says:

    Hi CJ

Could a low single figure golfer, currently struggling with consistency, benefit and improve with your system? I am currently hitting the ball around 300 yards, so I don’t need anymore distance really, of course any extra would be a bonus!

    Thanks

    Dave

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Dave,
Thanks for the question. I have several systems that might be able to help you. It sounds like things are going well in your golf game. My 360 program is what I use for Tour players and Low handicap players, college players, etc. This system teaches periodization. the question is what are your strengths and weaknesses. What needs to improve. In my opinion I would recommend my short game DVD as well. To go from a low handicap to zero or plus is primarily short game. Lets talk and see where I can help you.

  10. CJ,

I recently was introduced to your perfect connection golf swing series and videos from my sponsor in North Carolina, and was very impressed. Your ideas and philosophies are very similar to Mr. Leadbetter and others, and are very good for repeating a simple, out in front of the body golf swing. As a recent grad at the University of Wisconsin and a mini tour player, I’ve been struggling greatly with the club getting behind my body and using my hands and quick hips to square the face at impact. I have seen a few instructors associated with Leadbetter in the past but have failed to consistently control the ball and swing efficiently. I wanted to know how an individual would go about getting the opportunity to work with you, and where you are based. Also, I noticed the Bucky Badger headcover in your recent video, Do you have any ties with Wisconsin? Thank you for your time.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Jordan Elsen,
Thanks Jordan for the question. If you contact TPC Craig Ranch they can help you get in touch with me. I am originally from Wisconsin and lived there til I was 16. I grew up in Platteville. Hope to hear from you soon. We can talk and figure out some plan with your game.

  12. Wayne T. says:

What is the difference between your system and the “Surge”?

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Wayne T.
thanks for your question Wayne. the differences are too many to describe. The grip is different, the setup is different and the swing is different. Few examples. Surge promotes no wrist hinge, while I strongly encourage this. Surge teaches no shoulder turn, but a lift to the top, while I want shoulder turn. Surge teaches a vertical swing, while I teach shoulder plane. Downswing surge teaches to hit up on the ball, while Iteach we want the hands forward at impact and want to strike down on the ball. Even the finish is different. I hope this answers your question. Let me know how I can help you.

    Hi CJ

I have greatly enjoyed the free videos and reading through your blog and want to get the signature series as well as the short game and driver series.

Im just wondering if this new 360 degrees of golf set is a replacement for the above mentioned or if it is the next step as it were? which would you recommend i get?

    Thanks

    Dan

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Dan,
Thanks for your support of PCGS. You need to start with the short game series and the signature series. the 360 system is the next step and will really help take your game to the highest level. To learn the swing you need the signature series however. Thanks and let me know your thoughts.

    CJ,

I bought the bundle package and I’m liking the impact it’s had on both my driving and short irons which are much improved (especially the short irons!); however, my long irons are pretty awful and not connecting as I would hope…any advice would be appreciated in terms of these!

    Thanks,

    Rich

    • CJ Goecks says:

How can I correct my ball hitting? It seems that no matter how I set myself up, whenever I hit my drive it always fades to the right by about 20-25 yds. I’ve tried closing the club head and actually rearranging my feet and body but still can not stop the slce. Any tips for me? Can your lessons cure me of this habit I’ve attained over 10 years of hacking? Thanks for your consideration. I am eager to receive your response.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Ray Edwards,
Thanks for the question Ray. Absolutely I can help you. One simple drill the L to L drill will fix you. I also have a drill called the split hand drill and that is guaranteed to stop your slice in a couple of balls. Please give me an opportunity. I promise you won’t be disappointed. best wishes.

    CJ,

I love your free videos and am trying to get my dad to go half with me on the set. He’s not as convinced as I am yet. However I do have one quick question. my first round out I shot an 86, my best round ever. This was just after I watched your first few videos. My drives were long and straight. So I went to the practice range to work on my short game to try and improve even more. Well my short game has improved but now I can’t hit the fairway and am hitting my driver about 175 with a huge hook. I was previously hitting it 275-290 and straight! what could be the cause of this drastic change? my swing feels absolutely the same. Please help because golf isn’t as fun when you cant find your balls.
    thanks
    Brandon

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Brandon fuller,
Thanks for your support. I hope you get the videos sir. Obviously getting the videos will help you a lot, but in your case (especially after working short game) , I am thinking that by putting your hands forward with the chip shots, you probably changed your grip to being too strong. Start with the grip and this should help . Keep me informed and if this doesn’t help than we will discuss. The more info you give me the better my diagnoses can be.

My irons game is great – hit them solid and true 95% of the time – but once I put I hybrid, 5-wood, 3-wood or driver in my hands everything goes to hell in a hand-basket. Will your program help me to be able to confidently get off the tee box or down a long fairway with confidence. If you tel me it will – you’ve sold another customer.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Tim Talley,
Thanks Tim for the question. Listen, honestly I want to help you. I know my DVD will be able to help you. I am not here to take advantage of anyone and want to truly help each person. First, before you buy the DVD, let me ask you one simple question. Do you setup differently for these clubs vs irons? A simple setup change may be all it takes to improve you. Let me know your thoughts and lets discuss. Your problem may be super simple and you may not need to buy the DVD’s. Obviously I want to sell my DVD, but I also don’t want anyone accusing me of taking advantage of anyone for something so simple. Talk to you soon.

Alright mate! I just found this website and i was wondering…. i have never played golf but recently received a set for my birthday. Do you think this dvd would benefit a complete novice?

    thanks in advance!

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Philly,
Congrats on your birthday present. Absolutely this would help you, but Please TRUST ME. Start with the putting DVD and then the Short game DVD. Do what I tell you and practice the games that I describe in there. Please do this for at least 3 weeks and then get the signature series before going to the range. I know this sounds like a long time, but I promise you if you go the opposite way you will prolong your improvement by a very long time. You could be playing decent golf in two months if you take my approach. Please Please trust me on this. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. I know you want to hit the ball as everyone does, but I hope you can tell I am begging you to take my advice. You will be writing me in a month thanking me.

    • James T says:

      Hi CJ,
I have already found happiness with perfect connection mentality. I love the towel drill. My question is that when doing this drill I feel as though my right arm is not fully extending after impact and through the release, Is this normal or should my arms be closely connected to my body at all times through the swing? if so how long does it take to get use to this feeling?

      James T

      • CJ Goecks says:

        James T,
thanks James for the kind words and I am glad you are improving. I am a bit surprised that your not feeling your right arm extended, but feelings are very personal and not as big of a concern for me. The two drills I strongly suggest is the table top for body motion feeling and the L to L for the arms and wrist feeling. Let these feelings blend together. I am sure your arms feel extended past impact with the L to L drill so if this is the case, just keep working on both drills. Let me know if this is correct and if this helps.

  20. TJ says:

    Hi CJ,
I’ve received your free video clips and have watched with interest.
I am a right hander but play as a leftie. I had polio as a child and my right leg is an inch shorter than the left. I think this affects my set up and weight distribution at address.
My current h’cap is 8 and I’ve been down to 5 but over the last 25 years has been around the same level. I can drive the ball 250 m but lack consistency big time!
Would your program address my balance at address or do you think I should invest in a built up right shoe??
Lately I’ve had a sore neck and forced myself to swing slower with a shorter swing and breaking the wrist early. This was great for a couple of rounds, hitting it long and straight but then the gremlins set in and the longer clubs are again inconsistent.
I’m nearly 57 and aim to play for a lot longer, trying to keep to a single figure h’cap and improve on 8 but more importantly be able to play to it regularly.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      TJ,
thanks for the question. I would seriously look into a built up shoe, but a foot doctor can answer that question better than me. I know I can help you. Please do the best in trying to set your left hip a bit low. (kick in the left knee a bit and this should work). I hope we can continue to talk and get you improving. Let me know.

  21. TR Rose II says:

I want to buy just a hard copy. Is this possible? I have an engineering background and I am probably too technical, but I learn best by reading. I have literally spent years working on the golf swing and always inconsistency.
My current computer has many flaws like my inconsistent golf swing.
I’m 73 years young and I do mean young. Today I may shoot 76, tomorrow
    97. That is my last two rounds. I like the Mike Austin swing but I don’t get the kind of distance it claims. I tried the Stack & Tilt,
with some success, but highly inconsistent. I have had the greatest success with consistency with the old time Ernest Jones swing with sometime very good distance & other times not such good distance.
I’ve been playing many years and I have won 1st flight championship @ a first class club, but again, INCONSISTENT.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      TR Rose II,
Thanks Junior for your question. I have just finished filming a new set of DVD’s, all of which will include a manual that will explain some of the things I teach as well as practice habits, mental situations, course management, etc that I know you will enjoy. The first thing that I look for when someone tells me they are inconsistent is fundamentals. It is virtually impossible to be consistent with poor fundamentals. Start there first and compare yours to my video and lets talk. Hope this helps.

  22. Chris says:

CJ, I bought your online course yesterday and after watching all the videos I just wanted to say that I am very impressed by the method you teach. I have a single figure handicap, but my golf swing is incredibly inconsistent and relies a lot on timing…some days my timing is good and I can shoot as low as 72, while the next day I literally battle to break 90..how ridiculous is that? I think that the Perfect Connection Swing could be the answer, so I’m keen to try it out. One question I have is, do you offer any kind of video swing analysis service? Thanks, Chris.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Chris,
Thanks for your question Chris. Your obviously a good player, but struggling with a few things. First, I do offer a video analysis service. This is part of the platinum insiders club where you can upload your swing to me for free each and every month. I will soon be releasing this service (within the next week or so) for single uploads and analysis. Finally, I know your course management needs some work. I did some videos on this in the insiders club explaining exactly your problem. Course management means nothing when your hitting it well. This is when you just carry the bunker or stripe it down the middle of the fairway, but your decisions may not be smart for everyday golf. Please keep talking to me and we will get this fixed. Talk to you soon.

I get a really bad case of golfer’s elbow (inside elbow) every time I play. It gets so sore that I can only play once a week so it can heal in between. I know your swing is also about playing pain free but I get the impression that this is more referring to the back and neck areas. Do you know what would be causing my elbow pain and will your swing also help my golfer’s elbow become pain free as well? Thanks for your help!

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Joe,
Thanks for the question Joe. Let me stop you there. My swing targets all the common areas of pain in the golfer including golfers elbow. My swing addresses these issues and will help you. Please give me the opportunity. There are several issues that can cause golfers elbow. Some of those issues could be trauma, club off plane and not in balance, or early release. There are many sources, but the drills I give you will help. Let me know how I can be of assistance to you.

Well I just have to say after watching a Peak Performance Video set first and realized the guy talked talked and talked and yet i didnt get one thing out of it I figured all video instructions were the same until yours. Seriously i just finished a golf vacation with bad scores, neck killing me and well just about to give up on ever enjoying the game again until…….. Yes i watched a couple of your videos CJ and they really started making sense so i bought into the signature series and then the whole package. I watched the vidoes on the plane returning home and was anxious to hit the range back here in New york but the weather really turned worst. On Easter Sunday I watched the videos again and took to the range to implement the new swing and drills. Well I had such great success I continued through the rain because i couldnt believe how solid i was hitting. After i left the range all i could think was was this a fluke could i do this again tomorrow. Well Monday came and i went back to the range and once again it only got better as i adjusted the grip after watching the video in the truck i had it a little wrong and the swing only got better today. Its amazing swinging easier, better contact and full control. I can actually walk up to the ball and know i am going to make contact. Love the towel drill and right foot back as it helps me keep it together. I use to fear hitting the ball with irons as i thought the dreadful shank could come out at any time and stay the entire round of golf. Thank You Thank You Thank You as i have finally discovered a swing that works and more importantly it is explained and well understood.I owe you a round here in New York

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Sean Kent-Killeen,
Thank you Sean for not giving up the game and giving me an opportunity to help you. Keep up the good work and as always if you have any questions I am here to help. Please keep me informed on your progress and best wishes. Be careful on that round. I may take you up on it. I would love to play Bethpage, although if your buying your gonna be the one up at 3 am not me. I love the rochester area. I play the U.S. Amateur there in 1998. Oak Hills was a bit much for me though as I did not make match play. Great memories though. Also played the Monroe course which is pretty sweet also.

  28. David P. says:

CJ, I have only watched the first three video feeds of your free series and believe me, I was extremely skeptical on trying to make such a drastic change in my swing after hearing all the horror stories. I was a “grip it and rip it” guy and very inconsistent – low 80′s to high 90′s, 16 hdcp. I decided that if I was going to take a chance and invest in the formal video series that I would at least try the first three tips. I went to the range today and hit a large bucket of balls all while using your first three lessons. Wow. What a difference. It felt awkward at first but oddly, it was comfortable, and it was casual and not robotic. I was hitting the ball farther but more importantly, straighter. Really straight. Eh, maybe a fluke? I was so amazed I went ahead and played 18 after the practice. 48 degrees, 10 mph wind, a light drizzle w/snow flurries and I still shaved a solid 8 strokes off my card and shot 41/38. This is the best part… I don’t have any of the usual muscle soreness. Not one bit. This is major for me after having surgeries on both wrists, one elbow and a shoulder. Cool, not swinging nearly as hard and hitting it straighter and farther and using less club to get there. Now if I can just find that magic putter…

    • CJ Goecks says:

      David P.
Wow Buddy, thats so awesome. Congratulations on your recent success. Keep up the good work. I have a putting DVD as well. Let me fill you in on a clue. Its not your job to make putts. That may sound wierd, but I explain it and it will change your putting for the better.

  29. Ty Horvath says:

Please tell me the difference between your method and D.Trahan’s method. I purchased his method and lost 20 yards with my driver.
Most teachers like to talk about the takeaway, backswing and plane. There are dozens of different backswings on the tour. Does it not all come down to the downswing, impact and follow through? Does a substantial part of power not come from the feet and legs ? I am confused and frustrated with all the conflicting information being ‘taught’!
    Thanks

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Ty Horvath,
Thanks Ty for the question. there are no similarities between my swing and Dons. The setup is different, the backswing is different., The top is different, The swing plane is different. Impact is different. In a nutshell…Don promotes no wrist hinge. I strongly demand wrist hinge. You can hit the ball straight with no wrist hinge, but you will hit it SHORTER!!!!!!. Do you use your lower body. Heck yes you do. Please give me a chance to help you. Please call Damon on Monday and he can explain more. I am sorry for what is being taught. That is why I am rebelling against what is being taught. Please stay in touch and lets get this figured out. I give you my word that I am here to help and will do everything in my power to help you.

  30. Guy says:

Any idea how your system compares to the Graves School of Golf methods? Their system is based on Moe Norman’s single plane, and also stresses simplicity and injury prevention.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Guy,
Thanks for the question Guy. Moe’s swing was single planed and obviously very good for Moe. Moe, however, was autistic and would practice for 10 hours at a time until his hands bled. This theory that the Graves school teaches is based upon that method. You need special grips that are larger so that you cannot hinge your wrist in the swing. This is a power loss and although it worked for Moe Norman, I disagree with the teachings for other golfers. Obviously if you don’t use wrist hinge you can hit the ball straight, but you are giving up tremendous amounts of power. The PCGS swing is body friendly, but provides power to the golfer as well.

I purchased the 3 dvd signature series. Is ther anything on the short game?

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Paul Regenovich,
Thanks for the question Paul. I have a short game DVD that covers chipping, pitching, the flop shot, and bunkers. I have a very easy system that will teach you how to hit the ball, low, medium, high, ultra high and will teach you a flop shot called the slide. Also this dvd will teach you how to practice and how to fix yourself. I also have a putting Dvd. Please call Damon and he will be able to help you with these dvd’s.

  32. Ken says:

    Hi CJ,
I have been playing golf off and on FOR 30+ years with much frustration, i tried them all and just recently the “One Plane” that left me with huge pain in my right shoulder. I decided to try your method as it made sense, i practised the L to L with a towel for about 20 minutes on Saturday and played Sunday with the same drill minus towel before each shot.BIG problem with short irons,I gained so much distance i was continually overclubbing, you should have seen the smile on my face. However Driver etc was not so great, big hooks, I am 5ft6ins and an ex rugby player with a 17 inch neck and i think i was not allowing the club to swing a little flatter but was trying to swing the same as the short irons, i will continue to work with the LtoL.MAN I LOVED THE SOLID CONTACT ON THOSE IRONS.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Ken,
Thanks Ken for the update. Great job so far. You are correct on the driver. The setup is slightly different in that you need 60% of your weight on your right side and spine tilted slightly more to the right than an iron. It is impossible to swing the driver as much on the shoulder plane due to the length of the driver. Keep it up the wall, but not as much as you are currently doing and you will be fine. Let me know if this helps and lets get this worked out. I have no problems if your honest with me. I have extreme confidence that if you struggle a bit, then let me know and through our talking we will get you fixed and playing the best golf of your life. Looking forward to talking to you soon. Best wishes.

  34. Adrian Purvis says:

    Hi CJ,

I have purchased your series and I am trying to get to grips with it but struggling. I hit my short irons quite well 8-9-PW and feel like i am compressing the ball, however anything lower i seem to hit the ground before the ball, this means i lose distance and makes practicing at driving ranges or playing from temporary mats uncomfy and i hardly get the ball moving losing massive distance. I think I have been told I have reverse pivot in the past, do you have any tips for this.

    Thanks

    Adrian

      Adrian Purvis,
Thank you for your question. I’m glad you gave me some info on the reverse pivot. You need to do the sun drill like I show in the video. This is a great way to work on getting rid of the reverse pivot. Second you can take your address then pick up your left toe. Swing to the top and then replant your toe and go ahead and give a gary player walk through and that will force your weight to get through the shot. Also don’t forget to check the setup. make sure your right hip is low at address and this will fix it. Keep me informed on your progress.

      • Adrian Purvis says:

Sorry, I dont see the Sun drill? what does this drill entail? I am keen to make your PCGS work and improve my game but really need your help.

        Thanks

        Adrian

        • CJ Goecks says:

          Adrian Purvis,
Thanks for getting back to me. No problem. This might refresh your memory. Stand with the sun directly at your back. Take your posture and look at the shadow that is cast in front of you. Place a ball or tee in the middle of your head. When you swing back currently your head goes forward or towards the target (this is the reverse pivot you described). What should happen is during the backswing the head should move slightly to the right. Look again at the shadow. The ball will move from the middle of your head to the left ear at the top of the backswing. This move to the right will allow your body to now move back to the left and reduce the stress put on your back. Please let me know if this helps.

    HI CJ
Thanks for the reply. No I haven’t seen the DVD driver.
You ask the question what’s my problem with the driver EVERYTHING is the answer, slicing, too low, straight up, you name it I can do it, apart from the one shot out of ten that goes over 2ooyds long, straight, and sounds wonderful, body perfect, but I don’t know what I did? It’s embarrassing just one reasonably drive would do me, don’t want to be Tiger although you’re DVD as got me around the 18 holler in 98 from 116. (Handicap is 28)
If I swing back beyond the L position it all seems to go out of coordination I completely lose balance my feet don’t seem to be in the right position, when am relaxed the pro s tell me my feet are wrongly positioned (heaven knows how Charlie Chaplin would play golf) the driver shaft seems too long, I don’t know if the ball is too high or low on the tee. Don’t have any driver set up? But with the ball raised on a golf tee I can hit it quite an accurate distance with a 5 iron.
I don’t want to waste anymore hard earned cash on the golf club pro and please don’t take offensive but my opinion of the club pros is that they only have the pound or dollar signs first and foremost in mind. So let me summarise on the golf club pro. Am a fly fisherman can land a small artificial fly right on the nose of rising trout up to forty yards any advice I give is understandable and constructive to fellow anglers, so why can’t the pro golfer give me the same advice, hope you can help me CJ.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      George Donaldson,
Thanks for the info and question George. I do not take offense to the statement that pro’s are only concerned with the dollar sign. Remember that they are trained differently than I am. I could not run a golf tournament or fold a shirt as pretty as they do. Teaching is not their job or their focus. thats not what they have been trained for. Remember that all my DVD’s come with a guarantee. If you are not happy then let me know and its free. I promise I can help you with the DVD, however reading your problems I can help you now as well. First half of the ball should be above your driver. Second you need to lower your right hip at address and set 60% of your weight on your right side and keep it there until your arms pull your body through to the finish. The shots your describing are caused by an over the top swing with the body too far ahead of the ball at impact. Your body is too much like an iron and is ahead of the ball…this causes the low rights. Your swing plane of over the top is caused by a steep swing which also causes the pop ups. Lets start real simple and change the setup Like I described. Next I want you to swing to the top keeping your connection and “feel” Like your back stays closed to the target until you hit the ball and then let your arms pull you through. Remember feel and real are two different things so this is what I want you to work on to start. Let me know how this goes and we will work from here.

Hi CJ.. I recently came acrooss your website and enjoyed all the instruction and very useful tips. I sign up for the free lessons and just by watching the preview I am hitting the ball effortless at least 20 yards more with My irons and my driver with no slices and at least 20 to 30 yards longer I’m playing less than a year and I can say that really like to improve my game and your lessons are the best so far . I am cuurently hitting massive straighter shots which leaves to ball flying very far, and I’m doing this by watching your previews and 4 free lesson, I played monday November 15 applying your tips and altough I’m in doble bogey all around I was happy because I was hitting the ball very well. thank you You will hear form me soon if you keep the price looked in. right now I’m broke LOL

    Hey CJ!

I recently bought your signature series and enjoyed all the instruction and very useful tips. I am only playing golf for 5 months now and would really like to improve my game. I am cuurently hitting massive divots infront of the ball which leaves to ball not flying very far!any tips on how I can prevent this?

    Thanks

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Henlo,
Thanks for your comments and lets get this figured out together. Since your a beginner it sounds like your hitting at the ball versus through the ball. What happens on your practice swings? Another reason for these big divots would be an excessive out to in swing. Please give me more info on ball flight so I can better diagnose your swing problems.

Hi CJ….I became amember of the Perfect Connection Golfswing family earlier today.I then opened your e-mail & clicked on all of the instructions re:grip,posture.set-up,etc.,etc.Then I went to the driving range with my 8&7 irons & hit a small bucket……Amazing!! I was actually compressing the ball an quite a few of my shots.Maitaining the Y & the L with the abbreviated backswing produced good shots the likes of which I haven’t experienced in a long time….very impressive.Truelly amazed @ the power generated by the ‘connected’ abbreviated swing.I was hitting my 7 iron 165yds on target.I’ll be 77yrs old in Jan.You made my day!!I was ready to hang them up after anot too impressive showing in a Rotary best ball tournament yesterday. But…today is a new day….THANKS.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Charles Lorenz,
Thanks Charlie for the comments and congrats on your success. That is great to hear and I truly do love hearing good news. I even enjoy the bad news as I know I can fix and help each and every person if given the opportunity. Best wishes to you and let me know how things are going for you in the future.

    Hi CJ,
First off, want to thank you so much for your mini lessons. I’m on lesson #6 and have been using the tips on the range and my iron shots have been so much straighter and longer than before. There is much talk about how the iron swing is different than the driver swing in which I am currently struggling with. Can I use these same tips to hit my woods and driver? What are your thoughts? Are there any differences besides teeing it up closer to my left side and catching it in the upswing rather than the downswing? Thanks for your assistance.

Hi CJ, Also what prevents back pain and supports the back is a solid core- sit-ups. :)

Hi CJ. I have just becme aware of your swing method.I tried a swing in my backyard. I could only try a few swings and felt very little pain , this is a big plus. I have a torn rotator cuff in left shoulder and at my age the operation and extensive reovery too much. Your swing seems to suit my limited
ability. I will not stop playing and the swing is a god sent . Will test it on course next playable dayand if all goes well I will be a very happy golfer

Incredible results! I have struggled with the golf swing for 20+ years. Tried every method out there and watched every instructional video with only marginal results…… Until I found your program. On Sept. 5th at my local course, I shot 44/47. Hit the ball all over the place. Only my putter kept it from being worse. I was totally depressed. The following nite, while on my computer, I ran across your website for the Perfect Connection Golf Swing. I watched the introduction, and read every word of text. A lightbulb came on in my head and I felt the PCGS was the ticket to the kind of golf I always dreamed of playing. I didn’t realize at the time how right I would be.
I ordered the program and studied it closely. I went out in the yard and swung my 7 iron to get the feel. I did the drills. All without hitting one single ball. 4 days later I went back to that same course and the results? 38/37, including 2 birdies! I struck the ball so well, my regular playing partner was in total shock. I told him about the program and he said if I ever thought of doing anything else, he would personally kill me. Not only was I hitting greens in regulation, but my distance gains were incredible. For instance,my 8 iron distance went from 150 before PCGS to 165! My shots are solid, long, and straight, and consistent. I can’t wait to go play again tomorrow. Thank you CJ for unlocking the secret to awesome ball striking. I love this game !!!

I bought the downloads for 57 dollars but not the dvd’s. It help me a lot and i am still followed all the video’s. Should i buy the dvd’s . Your swing lesson improved my golf a hell of alot . thanks to you. Koos RSA

      • CJ Goecks says:

        Koos,
Welcome to the family koos. Don’t worry about buying the DVD’s if you have the downloads. The physical version of the DVD’s is for people that like the physical product and want to play it on their TV. If you don’t mind watching on your computer than perfect. Save your money. Most instructors won’t tell you that. Also, keep on the lookout, I will let you know, for my iphone app that is coming soon. this will have more info and you can take it right to the course. I am really excited about its release. Should be within the month.
