From Range to the Course – The Pre-Shot Routine

This first video in this week’s mini-clinic is a little longer than usual, because I had a LOT to cover…

But once you watch it, you’ll know exactly how to approach every shot during your round, and significantly improve your ballstriking.

Hi CJ – noticed on this video that you did not do any practice swings as part of your pre shot routine – any particular reason for that ?

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Dubai Geoff,
Thanks for the question about no practice swings. I sometimes make practice swings and sometimes don’t . having the same number of practice swings in your pre-shot routine is not necessary or recommended. You want to take as many practice swings as needed to feel the proper feeling for the shot . After doing my calculations and envisioning the shot I want to hit I would do a few practice swings and then start my routine with my trigger and go through the routine. Hope this answers your question.

      CJ
