Are your discs available for left handers?
Glynn,
We do have our Signature Series availabe in a left-handed version.
Hi C.J: A quick word .. and I’m not asking for anything here.
When my Dad was young he worked as the asst pro at the Royal Montreal golf club in Montreal, Canada. He stayed in the air force after the war (this precluded him from any chance of really competing with the big guys – which had been his intention pre-war) . When I came along, he taught me how to play golf .. IAW the old style. Lots of rotation, lots of push from the ground up, etc. etc. I guess I didn’t do too badly at it.
I was in an aircraft accident years ago, which did a number on my lower back. Gave up golf as I couldn’t hit the ball anymore without hurting myself in the process. After nearly 35 years of no golf, I retired from work and wondered what to do next. My wife had taken up the game and had taken a group of lessons (never teach your wife two things .. how to golf or how to drive a car) that got her started. Not to be left out and become a “golf widower” I found a pro that could show me how to swing without damaging my back. Didn’t work at all … then I came across your program.
I bought the original short series but you sent the full meal deal instead. I phoned to ask about that and the lady I spoke with was very nice and said you would only charge me for the short series as I hadn’t ordered the full set. In hindsight I should have paid you for the full series.
I adopted your way of doing things and all of a sudden am having fun again playing. There are four little hints that you give in your lessons that have made all the difference in the world:
- swing path goes ear to ear (mine had always been too flat)
- try to touch the right knee toward the left knee when striking the ball (this is the more important one as it allows my torso to come around without stressing the lower back)
- keep your right elbow in toward the ribs/waist when swinging (no chicken wing please)
- keep the left arm fairly straight and watch the damn ball when you hit it.
Those have become my swing thoughts and since adopting them, my rotation to the left has increased measurably and added nearly 25 yards to my drives. I now use a more appropriate club for the distance, no more full swings .. using a club up and a 3/4 swing works better, and I also find I slice or hook hardly at all. Still working on doing a fade or draw on purpose .. but that will come. At least I can keep it straight when I want to.
My short irons and green work has never been that much of a problem .. my wife tells me I putt like a shark. I don’t know about that but I guess not having to rotate for the pitches and chips helps.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I appreciate all the effort you go to in making your lessons easily understood and the explanations are always complete and they make perfect sense. Thanks for giving me my family legacy back .. I just wish my Dad was still around to see .. I know he was disappointed when we couldn’t play together. My own son does play and I happy to be able to pick up where I left off years ago.
Mike Orpen,
Wow Mike thank you so much for the great compliments and kind words. You have made my month with that letter. There is nothing that makes me happier than to help someone enjoy this game, especially someone that couldn’t play due to pain. Keep up the great work and enjoy your rounds with your son. Just like you, he will be bragging about his dad and teaching this wonderful game to his kids thanks to you. Best wishes and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

Hey CJ
Thank you so much for the instructional lessons, I have a better understanding of my golf swing. When I first started getting into golf my self taught swing was very close to what your teaching, I only made up to the halfway point. After watching golf channel programs and even taken a couple lessons at golftec, my swing was very inconsistent and frustrating, almost to the point of giving up this game. Then I ran into one of your videos on youtube talking about the role of your right arm, it was like a light bulb. I wanted to know more and looked up your website and found your mini clinics that I signed up for. I’ll soon will be purchasing your full instructional videos, Thank you once again.
Curtis Strong
I have a right wrist fusion and am unable to bend it or cock it as I take the club back and turn away from the target. Essentially I remove my fingers from the shaft on the take away and re-grip on the downswing. The problem is the loss of distance with every club except around the greens.
Jack Scott
Jack Scott,
Thanks Jack for the question and the information. I am not sure what your able to do without personally working with you so obviously my recommendation is to do what your able. I would question the removing your fingers from the shaft and re-gripping. I would rather you keep your hands where they are and go from there.

Dear cj I am have perfect connection I love it you you swing look amazing so smoos and easy, my still too fast but good distance but not constant yet, my game better after wacht you DVD, but I still strukering in between 95-100, my main problem is shout game and putting, most I do 2 putt and if I drive well close to green I ship bad or shot swing bad, can you help please.

Montri Bubphaglin,
Thanks Montri for the question. I promise you my short game DVD and my putting DVD will go into great detail and will improve your short game so much. i explain the technique, practice drills and drills to fix yourself. Please watch these and I will have you in the low 80′s within a month if you do the games I explain. Take my challenge. If you do the games 3 times a week for two weeks you will break 85 within a month. Let me know.

CJ: It is good I like game because I have been eating some “crow” lately. I have had the signature series for some time now and I have been through it several times. Due to the light winter in the east we have had a couple chances to play the last couple months and I been trying to emulate the moves for various strokes. Been playing since the 70′s so a lot was easy to understand for me. The first thing that showed immediate improvement was the chipping. Haven’t shanked or chumped a chip since. The next thing was the pitch because I was using the same basic technique just going for more distance. The next thing that seemed to gel was the full swings especially the driver. The L to L motion and the switch to a less severe rotation in the back swing had me hitting the drives as good as ever and actually longer. Now all this was done without any trips to a range or any practicing. I doubt I am implementing the PC swing percectly but I am not swinging as I was before and the ball flight is improved. I recently built clubs for myself after visiting a launch monitor site. I learned I needed irons 1″ longer and woods 1/2″ longer. I finished the clubs and never hit them before going to play on Saturday. Clubs fit like a glove and I had minimal effort adapting to the longer shaft. I actually chipped in for 2 pars and got close enough to birdie one hole. Still hshot in the mid 80′s but putts and some erroneous 3 and 5 woods are to blame. I will be in South Carolina all next week so I hope to groove more elements in this adapted swing.
Dave Clinik,
Thanks Dave for keeping me informed on your progress and congratulations on the improvement thus far. keep up the good work and let me know if you have any questions.

Hey C J,
I have your signature series and Bobby Wilson’d Power Bundle. I keep hearing about “cupping “the wrist on the backswing being a problem but I can’t seem to tell on your videos just what the wrist should look like on the top of the backswing. Can you help me with this?
Also, since I have the Power bundle, do you think I would get much out of your “Distance” DVDs?
Thanks,
Jim Quillin
hey cj
I’m having problems i think the main one is finding the position of the ball in my stance i try positioning my set up putting my body parallel with the target with right foot forward then my left foot to left right foot a bit further to the right but contact with ball just goes to right or left .
Clifford Hewitt,
thanks Clifford for the question. The key to having the proper ball position is dependent on which club you are using. For short irons try putting the ball in the middle of your stance and then let middle irons slightly forward of that. Remember from middle of your stance to the driver ball position is really only a couple of ball widths so try to make sure your ball position is within that area.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Jim Quillin,
Thanks Jim for the question. I do not mind the left wrist being cupped, but if your a slicer I would recommend it being flat. This will put the club face in a more closed position with the flat wrist and will help eliminate the slice. In regards to the Distance DVD’s I think you would get a lot out of it. I am very happy with the information that is in the distance DVD’s and think you will be also. Be honest with me and if you get them and your not satisfied then please send them back and we will refund you. I am here to help in any way that I can, but want to make sure that my students are happy and feel they have learned alot. Talk to you soon.

Hi CJ, before I get your distance DVD’ s I would like your advice on the following,
I am 64 and have a condition called rheumatoid arthritis and although in pain from
My ankles and legs I can, with the aid of a buggy, play 18 holes but due to numerous
Breaks from the game my hcp has gone up to19 ! Ten yrs ago I was off 9 ! Most of
My problem being that I have lost the movement in my wrists so my wrist break is
about a third of any normal movement, due this the distance I can hit a ball has fallen
dramatically, whilst a 7 iron used to be 150 yds it is now down to 120 at the best !!
As I work at a golf course in Surrey England I am able to practise nearly every day
and have worked hard to try and get my game back but nothing, so far, has helped
But since getting your original Perfect Connection DVDs my ball stoking has improved
a lot, my question for you is there anything I can do to regain at least a bit of distance
Incidently I have, last year been fitted with a set of Taylor Made graphite R irons and
R 11 woods with M shafts.
David Matthews,
Thanks David for the question. I wish I could answer your question with 100% certainty, but unfortunately I cannot. i would definitely recommend you working on your short game a ton as I really don’t think your distance is that bad to have a 19 hdcp. i think if your short game was great, with the proper impact position, this would definitely improve your full swing and give you more distance. Have you seen my short game DVD? If so then you would understand what I mean as I explain this. Anyways back to the distance DVD Let me recommend the short game DVD first. I cannot say, due to your condition, that the distance DVD will help. Again I would recommend the short game DVD, but also remember that on the Distance DVD that I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If this DVD does not help you then I don’t want you to keep it and I want to refund your money. I am truly serious when I say that I am serious about helping people. I never want to be accused of trying to scam someone. Please let me know your thoughts and lets keep talking. I will do everything in my power to help you out.
Keep em Long and Straight,

Some months ago I purchased your chipping and pitching lessons.
These helped me a lot but I am having frequent disasters whereby on
chipping / pitching the ball goes at right angles like a shsnk–it is
not a shsnk Can you help please
Cheers
Cyril Turner,
Thanks Cyril for the question and I am glad you have written me to let me know how your doing. Lets continue to talk and I know I can help you. First your describing a shot that is caused by the club that comes too much to the inside on the backswing. you will need to video your chip shots from down the line to make sure the club is going straight back. let me know if this makes sense and if you have any further questions.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Cj,I`m 55 carry an 8-hcp. Yrs ago I bought a set of iron`s from Fila that were designed to eliminate shanks by setting the club face forward of shaft. These worked great for a couple of years then I lost focus on making good downswings. I picked up the habit of starting the downswing with my hips moving latterally toward the target and my chin riding my left shoulder also towards the target. Result was right shoulder and club moving towards ball causing club to come into ball from outside the line. I`ve been trying to force the club to stay on plan in the downswing which does help however I feel my whole swing is top down instead of ground up. Outside of a labotomy can u help me?
Ken Wiederman,
Thanks ken for the question. At address place a glove on your left shoulder. Swing to the top and now try to let your back stay at the target while you move your left shoulder away from your chin and you drop the glove out from where it was pinched between your chin and left shoulder. This will create a shallowing out move and will keep you from sliding laterally. Let me know if this helps.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Hi CJ, Many thanks for your instruction. It has helped a lot in reducing, no removing, the paralysing back spasms that I used to suffer from time to time. I play off 10 and am a 67 year old physical wreck with two new knees, two ops on my right hip, two wrist ops and recently reattached seriously shredded right shoulder tendons. As you can imagine I do have some difficulty in getting the lower body much engaged in the swing with the result that I tend to hit over the top which scuttles the ball very low to the left, at the same time my swing has jerked to a stop very quickly. It doesn’t happen all the time but does especially when tired. If I could eradicate this I would definately get back down into single figures – any ideas?
Robert Wilson,
Thanks Robert for the feedback and congrats on the improvement in your game. It definitely sounds like you have your share of aches and pains so I am glad I am able to help in any way. Lets start with the finish and go from there and then we will get back to the over the top. First I want you to fake it til you make it. Focus only on a good finish and if it doesn’t happen then continue it from where you stopped (fake it). Keep working on this and let me know how it helps. In a week or so you should have this down and we can get back in touch and work on the over the top move. Please when you contact me again please remind me of some of the issues as it is very hard to remember everyone with all the questions I receive. Talk to you soon.

Hi CJ
do you ever travel to the UK to do clinics?
cheers
Ian
Ian Gilland,
Thanks ian for the question. i am planning on doing some clinics this summer in the UK. could you please contact damon at Damon@perfectconnectiongolfswing.com and possibly give his some ideas of places to teach. I do not have a clue on a good location. Best wishes and hope to see you this summer.

I live in Chennai, India . can you ship your DVD’s / merchandise ?
My address is –

CJ, no one has ever been able to help me with this problem. I`m 54 years old play to about a 12 hcp, used to be 4-5 20years ago. One day I bought these irons made by Fila that have no hossel. I`ve always had a problem with the dreaded shank coming up at the worst time usually only with the wedge and maybe only 1 out of 100. But I bought these clubs to take the shank completely out of my game. It worked for a couple of years, in fact I got down to a 3 for a short time. Then my swing started to get real bad my head and body moving forward way past the ball. Now I play with Titlest AP`s still athletic enough to drive the ball 260-280 but my left hip slides way too far past the ball and my head rides my left shoulder towards the target forcing the club over the top. If you have an idea how I can fix this problem I will be a fan forever. Best regards. Ken…
Ken widerman,
Thanks Ken for the question. A simple drill for this would be to pick up your left toes at address position and then practice hitting some shots with your toes up in the air through the entire shot. You can’t slide with this drill. Let me know if this helps.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
CJ. Cool idea on the toe`s. I can`t wait to try that. What about the head riding the left shoulder towards the target problem on the down swing? Any ideas how to stop that?
Hi CJ
Found your Perfect Connection Golf Swing Lessons extremely useful and my golf has improved because of your advice. I would respectfully ask if you might have a solution to cure two main problems in my game. The first is an almost involuntary movement of my head coming up and the left shoulder turning a fraction before the ball is hit, resulting in a pulled shot to the left! The second problem is that despite squaring the club face at address, the club face has moved to a closed position on striking the ball and of course another pulled shot to the left. If you could give me any advice to solve this frustrating part of my game I would be delighted.
Thank you
Best wishes

Mark Titmuss,
Thanks Mark for the question. The $29 a month subscription is for the insider club area. This will continue until you cancel, but again you can purchase just the DVD’s if you would like. Hope this answers your question.
Keep em Long and Straight,

I just golfed today and it was the worst round of the year. Of course I will go back, maybe even tomorrow. I also suffer from back pain and have really noticed how I have lost a lot of distance. Used to be able to hit them pretty consistantly 260-280. Now, I hit them a mile high and have recently started a wicked fade. I would like to check out the video and put things to the test immediately. If I find this still isn’t working for me can I cancel at anytime without being charged the $27 a month?
Sincerely,
CEA
ChadEAult,
Thanks CEA for the question. My DVD’s are a one time charge. The only charge will be if you choose to be an insiders club member and this is a once a month charge until you cancel your subscription. Let me know if you have any questions and your thoughts on the DVD.

Hi CJ, I enjoy your golf instruction having purchased some of your videos in the past. Parts of my game are improving but I have a problem with a flat swing, real flat with the club going behind me barely above the shoulder. It is ruining my enjoyment of the game, no matter why I try there is no improvement. Any thoughts, practise tips….you could save my golfing life. Regards David
David T,
Thanks David for the question. Please keep talking to me and we will get you fixed. First practice up the wall and feel the club a bit more vertical in your swing. Gather the feeling of this drill and apply it to your swing. While swinging without the wall I want you to feel as though your sticking your thumbs in your ear in your backswing. Don’t lose the width, but feel the club more up and this should help you. Please let me know if this helps.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
hi CJ ipurchased youre cds and tried youre methods but dont seem to be getting any more distance but i may add i must be doing something better as i have had two wins and a couple of seconds in our club,I still have trouble keeping a 3 wood straight from fairways can you help.
andy
Andy,
Thanks Andy for the question. Where do you live? You might be getting some more distance without realizing it due to the cold weather now across the country. I personally have lost distance since this summer, but thats due to the weather. If you are hitting the same clubs, you might actually be hitting it farther. Anyways, congrats on the wins and second place finishes…Thats awesome! Keep up the good work. In regards to the 3 wood what is going on…Is it hooking? Please let me know and I will be glad to help.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
I am a senior golfer. What to you reccomend for people like us, who no longer have the “swing speed” or the flexibility that they had in
younger years.
Thanks
Ron,
Thanks Ron for the question. Have you seen my DVD’s? Depending on what your doing with your swing you might be able to add a lot of distance with a few small tips. Please let me know your thoughts.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Hi CJ. I continuosly hit the ball with a hook. Have been tryinh to adjust few thing but it goes to the left. Sometimes i get it on the green but 98% of the time it out of bounds or in the water. How do i solce this?
Simon
Thanks Simon for the question. To solve the hook I would first look to the grip and the clubface at address. two things you need to do. First weaken the grip (turn both hands to the left) and second speed up the body on the downswing. Let me know how this helps and we can fine tune you from here. Do you have a swingyde yet? This will work wonders for your game.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Thanks CJ. I also sent Damon an email requesting to order you DVDs. Hope all goes well. Thanks for helping us improve on our game.
Simon,
thanks Simon for the support. I know Damon will get to you very quickly. Let me know your thoughts of the DVDs and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

I’m trying to buy your dvd – perfect connection. I have filled all my details. I live in Ireland. Your site will not accept my details. For Gods sake please change your site to take my details and send me the DVD. For Gods sake please let me know what I have to do to have your DVD sent to me.

Kevin Mac Rory,
Thanks Kevin for the question. I am sorry for the issues you are experiencing. Please contact damon at damon@perfectconnectiongolfswing.com and he will be able to help. Possibly you two could talk on the phone and he could answer any question you might have also.

Hi CJ……I’ve been working through the DVDS and making a difference (but tough to change some of the bad habits built up over the last 50 years !!).
One iten I don’t think I’ve seen addressed is your view/advice on where to address the ball relative to front/back foot for different clubs etc. I know for driver you recommend approx opposite inside heel of front foot — however what about other clubs? I’ve alsways followed strategy of progressively moving backwards as clubs get shorter (ensing up with pitching wedge opposite inside heel of back foot),
However with the PerfectConnection swing I’m feeling (or at least my body is feeling) that I should play most clubs/shots with ball very much towards the centre (ie midpoint between front/back foot).
Comments ?
Richard,
Thanks for the question and I am glad your making progress. The ball position for the short irons is middle like your suggesting and a bit forward for mid irons. Ultimately the ball position works from your shirt buttons with short irons to left heel for the driver. I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
I need assistance in staying down on the shot. I have the tendency to lift up the club on impact. What do you suggest. I am o.k. with woods and hybrids but not good with irons.
Thanks
I too am having trouble hitting my irons straight. NO problem with the woods or the 4 and 5 hybrids. My ball tends to slice to the right and not go very far. My mid irons 6,7,8,9 all go approximately the same distance (about 130-140 yards). Otherwise, my driver approx 220-230 yds and 3,5,fairway woods 175 to 190. My 4 hybrid about 165 and my 5 hybrid 155 yds.Coild it be my grip or am I unintentionally dropping my right shoulder. Basically I seem to hit all my irons behind the ball and not very crisp.
Bill McGuckin,
Thanks Bill for the question. The reason your struggling is because you have lost all the lag in the downswing. this adds loft to the clubface thus causing the ball to travel the same distance on all your clubs. this also causes the fat shots and will eventually cause golfers elbow as well as other problems. To fix this you need to make sure your grip is correct and then work on the L to L drill. This will help you retain the lag and cause you to hit more penetrating farther shots. Please keep me informed.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Hi again, I have dropped from a 16 down to a ten hcp, thanks primarily to CJ! I am looking forward to being a single digit handicapper again!

C.J. Thank you for all the great instructions and tips. To day I made a hole in one!
Your Perfect connection golf swing training is great.
Thank You,

Richard Byrd,
Awesome Richard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats and thanks for keeping me informed. How many hole in ones have you had? Congrats again and looking forward to talking with you. I would love for you to contact Damon and send a pic with you and the ball if you still have it. Talk to you soon.

Re: Driving
I have noticed that you do not always stay connect (re: towel demo) when driving. In the short driving promo video example I have seen you stay connected but on other occasions when demonstrating something regrading driving you have actually become disconnected under your right arm or arm pit, therefore the towel would drop.
Even at the end of the video on this page, http://perfectconnectiongolfswing.com/free-dvd?source=email&Campaign=BC&Creative=031711POD,
you become disconnected in your driving swing.
Why is this and is it therefore expectable?
Andrew Smith
Andrew Smith,
Thanks for the question Andrew. Remember the towel drill you use with the table top drill. This is a feeling. Do you need to stay glued to your sides. No. I do want you to feel as connected as possible but again a little bit of up swing is ok especially with the driver. The driver is longer and due to the length of the club the momentum may carry you a bit farther, but don’t worry about it. Remember this is what we strive for and the fundamentals and the drills will improve your swing. I too from time to time need to revisit the fundamentals and go back over them. Thanks for the question and I hope you understand that you strive for a great swing. From time to time you may get a little long, your posture won’t always be perfect, your impact won’t always be perfect, but the more you practice the fundamentals and the drills the less chance for mishits. Heck if I could do it all the time I would be on the PGA Tour. I am a teacher and try the best I can, but because teaching is my job and my swing is pretty easy i don’t practice that often. I don’t always recommend that for everyone, but once you have laid the foundation you won’t need to practice as hard as you use to and you will still get great results. Best wishes and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Rick for the clarification. I have not played a round of golf in over 3 years and I was not able to finish that one. I only just started on your lessons and it has already clicked with me. I injured my back, lifting a patient, in 1990, and had an operation in 1995. Before my injury I would sometimes go beyond parallel with my back swing and the attempts I have made to get back to golf have not worked, as I have kept habitual going to at least parallel in my back swing and I just can’t handle it, so I do not play. I play my first round of golf on Sunday, at the age of 57, in a very long time. In only a few short days of practising your swing I am confident I can play without stress from over extending…
Thank you.
Andrew Smith,
Stick with it Andrew and keep connected. This will definitely help shorten your swing and have you hitting the ball more solid and pain free. Keep me informed.

Congratulations CJ. Every golfer wants a consistent game hitting long and straight. It’s also important to maintain a healthy back and not ruin it in search of the elusive ‘perfect’ game. Your focus on keeping the swing simple and efficient has obviously been the product of extensive research and consideration of every golfer, regardless of age or ability. You deserve every success you get from this venture. Keep up the good work.
Rick,
Thank you for your kind words. I truly appreciate it. There was a lot of hard work and studying that went into this, but I was fortunate enough to be around some of the best instructors and doctors out there. I learned a lot from them and if it wasn’t for them sharing their knowledge with me none of this would be possible. Thanks again and best wishes.

I to have the problem with my back swing carrying me to far on all the way back on the drivers mostly and i pay for it the next day. i have had low back surgery and 2 right arm shoulder surgeries… please help CJ!
Jon
Jon,
Thanks Jon for the question. Work on the L to L drill with your feet together. Have someone video your swing also. i guarantee you that your half swing will be a full swing. You are struggling with feel vs real. What you feel is not real. Let me know if this helps.

Dear CJ, I recently bought your Perfect Connection Swing and trying out the various drills to improve distance. A question though on the speed drill, when should we start hearing the whoosh? I usually hear it at the bottom of my stroke, a little before impact. Is that correct or am I releasing the lag to early?
Glenn Y,
Thanks for the question Glenn. Hearing the whoosh at the bottom is fine. Try to delay the whoosh as long as possible and then your perfect. If you can get it after impact then great, but it seems like your doing a great job. Keep me informed.

Hi CJ
I bought you’re perfect connection golf swing a few months ago and even though, being in the frozen north of Scotland, I haven’t as yet been able to have a round. I have had questions asked to how I drive so straight at the range. Am I wrong in saying it’s a secret or should I tell them the truth?
I still have timing issues but that is coming.
Thanks for the pain free swing.
I am now hitting around 160 balls a week without any twinges at all …
Definitly keeping them long and straight
Colin
Colin Aberdeen,
thank you Colin for your update and congrats on your success. i would appreciate if you told others about the program. The more people I can help the better it is for golf and for everyone. The more successful this program is than the more I can offer each and every one of you. Keep in touch.

On the downswing do you conciously unhinge your wrists or does centrifugal force do it?
Don Ernst,
Thanks for the question Don. Centrifugal force will unhinge the club and you won’t have to worry about it. Keep in touch.

SINCE TRYING YOUR DVD INFO. I AM HITTING THE BALL FURTHER AND STRAIGHTER THAN I HAVE IN YEARS. YOUR SYSTEM REALLY WORKS. THANKS
Mal,
Thats awesome Mal. Thank you for taking the time to post a blog and letting me know how your doing. Best wishes and please keep in touch.

cj: i have read where you use wrist hinge to support the club, my question is, i am 71 i play golf 3 to 4 times a week without much pain, i am in good shape for my age. at one time i was a 12, but now (i am embarrassed to say a 19) i had surgery on my left wrist and they had to fuse it. so now i have no movement in my left wrist.. will your system work for me?? thanks jerry
Jerry Randolph,
Thanks Jerry for the question. Yes my program will be able to help you. Although the wrist hinge is important for power, there is more to my swing than just simply wrist hinge. I welcome your questions and would love the opportunity to help you. In your position lets be realistic. There will be limitations to your swing for power, but you can still hit the ball plenty far and will improve especially if your mechanics are off. Having said that I highly recommend the short game DVD as this will help you on those long holes to save par. Please keep in touch and let me know your thoughts.

Hi CJ. I wrote yesterday and said I hoped today’s game would be better, well I shot 72 (37/35) but I’m not getting carried away with myself because even though the course was saturated and we played only 4 full greens and 14 winter ones, we also concede putts of putter length or less on winter greens, so you would expect a flattering score. I am off 15 and the course is 66 SSS and the good thing is I hit many more good shots than bad and feel I am finally getting the hang of your system. Practicing with soft balls helped and I’m now beginning to see the light. My ambition is to score similarly (less than my age) during a medal competition and I think I might do that this season thanks to you great yet simple system.
Many thanks for your advice and I am now getting excited about golf again and can’t wait for my next game (on Monday 14th).
PS: Just took delivery of a Mizuno hybrid 4 iron and it feels great so will use that on Monday.
Alexander Graham,
Thanks Alex for gettting back to me. I just responded and then went up and saw your post. Glad to hear that it is getting better. Keep me informed.

Hi CJ,
I have an question regarding what role has the left arm in your swing. You probably know that Eric Jones recommend to let the left arm be strong one through the whole swing from start to finish and that the right arm is just follows without creating any additional speed/power? What is your opinion in this respect?
Question 2. I do not find any spesific guidelines regarding ball position for the irons and the driver in your Signature series. If it is there somewhere please let me know were to look for it or what are your recommondations?
Best regards
Per
Per Kjol,
thanks for your support of Perfect Connection and welcome to the rebelution. In regards to which arm feeling I have no preference. I don’t firmly believe that the left arm controls the swing nor the right arm. I strongly feel that it is up to the individual and that which arm controls the swing is a feeling and not a fundamental. In regards to the ball position I have posted many videos on this since its not in the video. Basically the wedges are in the middle with the mid irons a bit more forward and the driver opposite of left heel. there is about 2 and 1/2 inches difference between wedges and driver so don’t over think this. Hope this helps.

I have tried your tips and video and in the last month dropped 5 strokes off my handicap. Its good to see you WITHOUT your shades on for this offer, seems more trustworth somehow.
Impressive marketing, but moreover rock solid teaching advice.
Bill Cooke,
Thanks Bill for the kind words. I know I know about the sunglasses, but its bright here in Texas. As you know in Australia also. Gotta protect my eyes. If I go outside without sunglasses now its really bright. I’m glad I did this without sunglasses, but don’t get to use to it. Best wishes and I am really proud you like the instruction. Keep in touch.

Hi CJ,
Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your excellent series of instructional videos..they are genius and have completely changed my whole approach to golf and made me fall back in love with this wonderful game! I have been a 15 handicapper for years but am so pleased with my results that I am confident I will realise my lifes golfing ambition to get to single figures (I have even placed a bet with some friends who offered me 10/1 odds!)I live in Northern Ireland and our season is only getting started but I am so looking forward to my club competitions as I have never struck the ball as consistently well with minimum effort.
I am a member of the Insiders club and find this invaluable as it not only provides many useful tips but also reinforces all the fundamentals of the ” CJ Way ” in a plainspeaking simple manner.
I would highly recommend your system to anyone who is remotely serious about dramatically improving their game.
Once again many many thanks for changing my life!
Best regards
Joe

After wasting 6 years strugggling with Natural Golf and Single Plane, I’m back in the groove with Perfect Connection. Thank you. You mentioned Tom Watson’s swing in one of your promos. But I think that Payne Stewart’s swing is a great example keeping the hands in front of the chest in a more upright swing.
Wade Purcell,
Thanks Wade for your support and thank you for joining my rebelution. I like your idea of Payne, and yes the idea is to keep your hands in front of your chest, however Payne loses connection with his right arm. I’m not saying Payne has a bad swing, however for most people to do that would be tough. Payne was one of the best and there are many swings on tour that are great, but having others model them is difficult to do. Hope this makes sense. Talk to you soon.

I purchased your Signature Series and began to change my swing. I works great when I do it right. My problem is old habits die hard and I keep wanting to take a full backswing and make a full shoulder turn. More time on the range I guess. The reason I am writing you is the swing works well with my irons but not so great with my driver and fairway woods. Do you have a different swing for that? What do I need to do different? Thanks, Tony
Tony,
Thanks Tony for the question. I love hearing good news, but even bad news like your having with the driver is good to hear as long as you tell me so I can have a chance to help and get you on track. Tony, Have you seen my driver DVD? The swing is not different per say except that the club is longer therefore it won’t go as much up, but you won’t need to consciously think about it. the setup is the main difference. Make sure your weight is 60% on your right side and you have a tiny bit more spine tilt to the right. Let me know if this helps and we will get you fixed. Keep me informed and best wishes.

Hi, I ran into a problem on the course the other day. All the sand bunkers had no sand in them due to the heavy rain we had here in So. Cal. the last few weeks. So the usual way to get the ball out, by taking a divot of sand with your club to lift the ball out, didn’t work. Because there was no sand, just hardpan and small rocks! Is there another technique that will work in these conditions? Thanks, I’m enjoying you videos by the way.
Tim,
GReat question. I have addressed this before, but I’m sure many missed this. I am going to use your question and write an article on this to help everyone so keep an eye out. I’m sure the article will be out this week.

Hi C.J.
Firstly got the perfect golf swing DVDs and put into practice the lessons it’s revitalised me in the game again.
Am 63yrs old, lived in Spain for the last 2 yrs that’s where I took up the game, back home in England now, had Spanish & English lessons had the typical pro advice, your swing is too fast, move your head and your dead learnt more from your DVDs?
So here’s the question I have just joined a Golf club wonderful rural location were live in west Yorkshire great club house pro shop restaurant floodlight practice area. Unfortunately I can’t use a driver, can hit the ball further with a 5 iron can you help or do I have to get more Pro lessons on driving.
George Donaldson
George Donaldson,
Thanks for the question George. Whats the problem with the driver? Is it slicing? Is it low? Talk to me. We can figure this out and you won’t need those lessons. Have you changed your setup with the driver or is it the same as the irons? Have you seen my driver DVD? let me know and we will figure this out together.

Hi CJ,
I acquired the Perfect Connection series about 3 months ago and I must congratulate you on the clarity and sense in your teaching.
All has improved but for chipping. I have been working on this 3 or 4 times a week since receiving the DVD’S. I tend to pull the ball left along the line of my feet or shank the ball or blade it off the toe.I will play several shots accurately with good contact and suddenly get one of these shanked or bladed shots. My hands are left my weight is left with the ball opposite my right toe and I’m not burning myself so I cannot figure the problem out.The rest of my game is improving dramatically with none of these problems. One thing that you don’t discus is distance from the ball. I have tried closer and further with no joy. Can you shed any light on this?
Regards
Jock
It is hard to tell this on myself but when I played last week, I did something that I had not done before. I was playing a really nice course that had beautiful homes along the fairways. On one of the holes on the back side, I teed it up in the tee box and decided on using the driver.
When I took my swing, I spun out, the ball started left, it flew over
a large tree when I heard a big crash. It had hit one of those beautiful dream homes. At that point, I knew I was a hacker. I just wanted to go hide. I had a big fairway to hit and I hit a house instead.
The moral of this story is to do what CJ says and hit em long and straight, not short and crooked like I do.
Dear CJ,
I have not had the chance in the past month to try your suggestion on climbing the wall with your clubs; Hinging your wrists
sooner and take it up in your backswing.
I am 61 years old, bad wrist, knee and ribs. I can only play 9 holes due to all of my physical restrictions. I do not understand why I am not able to hit my driver or any club over 200 yards. Yes, i hit it straight, however, it puts so much pressure on that second shot. Again, I have not tried your new no pain swing, howeverI know I must not hit the ball square. I will hit my driver and it feels good but the ball just dies on me. Any suggestions for a wounded weekend warrior? Thanks,Tony
Tony DiCaprio,
Thanks for your question Tony, but the info is here and the swing is right here. Why haven’t you tried it yet. Try it and let me know your thoughts.
Keep em Long and Straight,
CJ
Dear CJ,
Thanks for responding so quickly. For the past month I have been receiving shots into my knee for a torn meniscus. As soon as I am able, I am anxiously
looking forward to trying your suggested swing.
Thanks again,
Tony from Cleveland,Ohio

Dear CJ,
My Handicap is now 7, I am 62 and now suffer from inconsistancy in my game ie: I shoot 9 over par and in that will be a double and triple bogey. After m round I suffer from back pain and cannot play two days in a row. My question to you is will your instruction help my game and my body. I am on a limited income and cannot afford to waste cash.
Rowland Buckland,
I don’t think anyone especially in this economy can waste cash nor does anyone want to just blow cash even if they have it so I understand your point. This program will work for you and its guaranteed to make you better and save your body. It was founded from the body first and there is nothing worse than not being able to play because of pain from playing golf. Try this program and I know you will love it. Please look at the blog and read all the people that have loved this instruction. I take pride in helping people with their golf and would love the opportunity to hlep you as well.

How does your system differ from Trahan’s PPGS system?
If I sent you a video of my swing will you give me an analysis?
How can you personally train me at this price when so many people will sign up?
Bill,
There is a tremendous difference between mine and Trahan’s ppgs system. In fact there really isn’t a lot similar. For instance the grip is different. Mine is built based on your body. The backswing is different. Mine uses wrist hinge to support the club and to allow you to swing it faster. The swing plane is different. Don’s 12 o’clock position works for him because he has a big drop inside move that gets the club from the inside. If he didn’t swing it vertical than it would be way behind him and he would hit big pushes and hooks and dropkicks. this is not the normal tendency of golfers. There really is too much to describe. i have answered this question a lot in earlier blogs so you might want to research the answers there but I promise there is a lot of differences. If you sent me your swing I would analyze your swing. That is one of the perks of being a member of my insiders club. I make time to analyze and prescribe fixes for each of my students. I make time for this. How can I do this. Simple. I want to. Hope this answers your questions and looking forward to seeing your swing.

Once the two week trial period is over, are you automatically enrolled and billed $27 p/month for the VIP Club??
Hi Lee –
Yes that is correct. We don’t want you to experience a disruption in your membership benefits so your trial membership automatically turns into an ongoing monthly membership at the discounted VIP rate of $27. No extra work is required by you. The membership is month to month, so you can cancel at any time if you find the system is not for you. But once you see how CJ’s coaching will impact your game… we’re sure you will want to be a lifer!!
Thanks,
Your Caddy Concierge,

Question. When do you charge my credit card the $27 for the Insiders Club? Now or after the 2 week free trial.
Thanks, Byron
Hi Byron,
After the two week trial.
Thanks,
