Choosing The Right Club

Ask an amateur golfer what part of their game needs the most work, and there is a very good chance they will tell you their short game.Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download

And I think part of it comes down to poor club selection.

Choosing the wrong club just wipes the efficiency right out of your swing.

In today’s video example, I show you how to choose between a lob wedge, a gap wedge and a 9-iron.

Check it out here and let me know what you think.

I used your system for a few weeks and Eric’s 5 Keys to distance for 2 weeks and shot my lowest score 83 in nearly 40 yrs of golf. 86 was my lowest until then.

  3. There’s a formula to learn in ordre to sélect the right club to choose for chipping. You have to pace out the distance from the ball to the landing area ( roll )then From the landing area to the pin, figures in feet .This gives a fraction which you reduce to ifs lowest commun form .Thon substract the dénominatorfrom the number 12 .This gives you the number of the club to play .Simple isn’ t it ?Exemple SW carry 1 Roll 1 .Pw Carry 1 Roll 2 . 9 Iron Carry 1 Roll 3 . 7 Iron Carry 1 Roll 5 .5 Iron Carry 1 Roll 7

Thanks Ray for the blog post. I hope this helps someone. I teach a similar method in my short game DVD although I give more freedom to the user. Thanks again.

  5. Jim Johnson says:

He full of crap. You can use one club to get to all three pins. They just want you to buy clubs you dont need.

    • CJ Goecks says:

      Jim Johnson,
Wow Jim I am shocked at your response. Do you really think I am trying to get people to go buy a 9 iron, a gap wedge or a lob wedge? Do I make profit off of someone in Australia or heck anywhere going and buying a club at their golf shop? I was trying to explain the difference in choices that you can make on the course. I almost don’t know how to respond. Most golfers already own a 9 iron and if you don’t have one buddy you can probably get a used 9 iron for 20 bucks at a golf shop. If you don’t have a lob wedge Jim than you can simply use a sand wedge which you probably own or you can also get used for about 20 bucks.

  6. John Marshall says:

CJ, Bill Johnson is somewhat correct in what he said he just didn’t say it correctly. I bet you have one (1) club you use more than any-other around the green’s. You have a pitch and run club and you have a pitch and stop club. Which that said if you would start playing with what you know is best for you and stop trying to play with what you teach you will start winning more money again! Thank you for your time

    • CJ Goecks says:

      John Marshall,
Thanks John for the clarification. If you have at least 3 clubs you choose between that will work, but you definitely do not want one club for all chip shots.
