Bobby Wilson hits 423 yard drive!

Yes, that’s not a typo.

The 2013 World Long Drive Championships are underway and Bobby made his presence known on day 1 with a 423 yard drive.  That’s right, my dear friend is getting it done in a big way.  In fact, he’s already earned himself a 2nd seed in the Finals of the Grand Champions Division taking place this Saturday.

The best part is he’s just getting warmed up!

Bobby is the first competitor to ever qualify in four Divisions of the Long Drive Championship: The Open, Senior, Super Senior, and Grand Champions.

Interested in learning how this 57-year old guy came back from an injury and is now able to compete with the young guys.

He will be attempting to qualify for the Senior Division today, Super Senior tomorrow followed by the Open Division on Monday.

Bobby could use some encouragement between rounds so please leave your comments on the blog.

He will be checking them throughout the competition.

Good Luck Bobby!

    Bobby,
It’s great to hear you have kept yourself in shape to accomplish this but what I wish you would share with us is just how to be able to do 2/3 of that on the course. I am 66 and don’t hit it as far as I did three years ago with my woods but my irons are about the same. Some basic info for us older guys would be great. You keep up the great performance out there and make the over 55 group look good!
    Best of luck,
    Norm

Well done young man, I would like you to win all comps at the REMAX
but to settle for three will suffice.
    best of luck.
